The World Day for Safety and Health at Work, observed annually on April 28th, is an opportunity to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases. At Urban Protection Group, we believe that creating a safe and healthy work environment is not only essential for the well-being of our employees but also crucial for the success of our business. It is the right of every employee. Good work design supports this right by fostering a safe and healthy physical and psychosocial environment for workers.

We are committed to implementing effective work health and safety (WHS) practices to prevent workplace accidents and diseases. Our WHS management system includes policies and procedures that address risk management, incident reporting, hazard identification, and employee training. We believe that investing in our employees’ safety and health is essential to building a strong and sustainable business. We also conduct regular training, safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards in the workplace.

We encourage our employees to report any safety concerns or incidents immediately, and we have established a system for reporting and investigating incidents. We believe that having an open and transparent reporting culture is essential to identifying potential hazards and preventing accidents from occurring.

We have also implemented measures to promote employee well-being, because we believe that a healthy and happy workforce is more productive and engaged, and we are committed to creating an environment that promotes both physical and mental health.

In addition to our internal WHS practices, we also work with our clients and contractors to ensure they meet our WHS standards. We conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure compliance with our WHS policies and procedures.

We are committed to continuous improvement and regularly review our WHS policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement. We believe that a proactive approach to WHS is crucial to preventing accidents and diseases in the workplace.

The World Day for Safety and Health at Work is an essential reminder of the importance of workplace safety and health. At UPG, we are committed to promoting a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, suppliers, and contractors. We believe that investing in our employees’ safety and health is not only the right thing to do but also crucial for the success of our business and partnerships. We continue to review and improve our WHS practices to ensure we are doing everything we can to prevent workplace accidents and diseases.
